A Mystic place, where Mountain Bikers meet around the Bike Maintenance Station of Mystic MTB Park
Mystic Mountain Bike Park in Victoria’s High Country is one of the most popular biking destinations in Australia. Which started with humble beginnings – hand built by the local community, for the community. The park hosts National Championships and features 50km of trails that are considered by some to be the most unique and exciting in Australia. The park caters for all abilities and has over 60 000 visitors per year.
Since last year, Alpine Community Plantation joined Mystic to help manage maintenance and upkeep of the site. They’ve created a trail head, a car park, shelter and set up a bike maintenance station from all4cycling.
Recently, all4cycling installed the popular bike maintenance station at the trail head “It’s great to create a space where mountain bikers can pump up their tires and do some small maintenance work. We also see people adjusting the bike setup for someone else to use. Whenever I am at the carpark, there are always a couple of riders using the bike maintenance station.” Says Jessica Short, the Executive Officer of Alpine Community Plantation.
The bike station is in an exposed location and last month the bike pump stopped working. Whether this was due to weather or high use, Jessica is not sure. The service from all4cycling was impressive, with a fix completed by them in the same weekend.
Luckily Richard from all4cycling rides there himself and had no hesitation to spend some time up there to fix it!
In the future they’d love to set up more bike stations. Some locations in mind are the top of the mountain bike trail and one in the town of Bright. This will enable riders to inflate their tires and do minor repairs.
“We’re here to encourage everyone to jump on their bikes and keep people riding. That’s why we love the bike maintenance station of all4cycling. The station is very durable in the exposed location and we can’t speak highly enough of the great service received by Richard from all4cycling.” Jessica Short – Mystic MTB Park
